5 notable apartments in Italy instead of a hotel

Most of the time when planning any trip, it takes me exactly to search for housing. Although we are not going on a trip to sit in an apartment or hotel, I think you will agree that housing is important and it does not matter where you end up spending the night. It happens that the selection of only one location takes several days. And given the fact that in Italy you want to see many cities, this often turns into a real headache.

A few words about apartments in Italy

In recent years, I have been using both Booking.com and Airbnb almost equally. But if everything is very clear with hotels, then the selection of an apartment seems to me a little more complicated. Especially if you are not very well oriented on the ground.

Since I managed to live in many apartments during my trips to Italy, I decided to share with you a selection that left especially pleasant memories. Immediately make a reservation that this is not a TOP list of the cheapest housing and not a selection of all cities. But those apartments that left especially fond memories. I will add a few remarks to each of the apartments so that it is clear what to expect from them.

By the way, if you have not used Airbnb, then when registering in the service at this linkYou can get a nice discount on your first trip. And in the video below I talked about how you can get an additional bonus of $ 50 in order to further reduce the cost of your trip.

Alessandro apartment in Rome

This huge apartment with an area of 160 meters has sunk into my soul so much that every time I go to Rome, I check it first of all. It is suitable for both a couple and a large company. It has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

Besides the fact that you can read about it on Airbnb, I’ll add the following from myself: the apartment has a gorgeous location near the Re di Roma metro - it is 100-200 meters away. Several stations - and you are in the very center.

I especially like this area because it is non-touristy, but extremely comfortable. There are many supermarkets, pizzerias, cafes - and all this at prices for locals, not tourists.

Alessandro apartment in Rome

The apartment itself is located so that even in a residential area provides a huge degree of privacy. The house stands somewhat apart, has a private courtyard, and the balcony opens onto a villa with a citrus garden, fenced off by a high wall. Therefore, even in the morning you can drink champagne in shorts on the balcony and not worry about getting on someone else’s Youtube. There is no traffic in front of the balcony and it is very quiet at night.

Alessandro is a very welcoming host. On my visits there was always something in the refrigerator (of course, packed) and even left a whole pie separately. Although, I confess, I never saw him live. The apartment was always opened by the concierge, and before leaving, we simply left the keys in the lodging. There are no design refinements, but for life it was done very soundly and pleasantly. Louise's apartment in Verona

This apartment in Verona is just a godsend. Firstly, it is extremely conveniently located. From accommodation, the Arena di Verona can be reached on foot in just 5 minutes.

Secondly, she is beautiful in herself: the hostess has a very creative profession, and this is felt in the details. The apartment is located in a large apartment building. But do not confuse this with our residential areas. Most likely, earlier it was the home of one aristocratic family, which was then divided into several apartments.

With all this, here is a surprisingly pleasant terrace with a table and chairs, so you can take an aperitif in the evening and sit right in the open. There is also something in the fridge - Louise approaches hospitality very responsibly. Link to the page of this apartment here.

By the way, a review of this particular apartment got into my video about Verona - look at the very end.

Smart apartment in Milan

It so happened that Milan is a suitcase city for me. I often use it as a base for trips around the neighborhood, because there are a lot of interesting and worth visiting places around Milan. But this also leaves its mark - in the city, proximity to the station was always a priority for me, and the choice there is limited.

Although several interesting apartments near Milano Centrale were selected in my Wish List on Airbnb, they were always busy, and I rented simply comfortable, albeit not very noticeable apartments.

Smart apartment in Milan

But this is one of the exceptions. I want to make a reservation right away that if you are at least two, then this apartment will be crowded. This is an option for one. But the apartment is extremely technological and therefore interesting. Although it is less than 20 meters, this is a great case on how to use the space.

Marco apartment in Rome

If in this review to choose the most-most housing, then this is undoubtedly the apartment of Marco. Its housing is adjacent to the ancient fortress wall. But God with her with the wall is one of the most unusual apartments in the world where I managed to live.

The apartment itself is small, although for two, unlike the previous version, it will be quite comfortable here.

Marco's apartment in Rome is literally in the ramparts

Design without stucco, but extremely thoughtful. The apartment has 2 floors. The floor between them is partially glass. Part of the ceiling of the upper level is also glass. In the shower is the system "Artificial Rain" - a cool thing.

The apartment is located in the center, but at the same time so that the housing feels complete privacy. Metro is a 5-minute walk. The Church of San Giovanni - one of the main churches of Rome - is also 5 minutes away. And nearby there is a pizzeria where they make the most delicious pizza in Rome. For my taste, at least. Marco gives all guests a short guide to the surrounding area - it is there.

At one time, this apartment impressed me so much that it was from here that the habit of making small videos about interesting housing started. Link to it, by the way, can be found here, and the video itself is below:

Apartment Jeanpaolo in Rome

Another apartment in Rome, which is worth paying attention to. It is also located near Re di Roma (like Alessandro’s apartment), and it was at Zhanpaolo that I appreciated all the convenience and delights of this area.

This apartment just has a gorgeous view. It is located on one of the upper floors (I don’t remember the 7th or 9th) and has a balcony, the view from which is itself a landmark.

I stayed with Janpaolo several times, and it was extremely convenient. But housing also has its drawbacks. So, the apartment has 3 rooms, and in each period of time 2 of them are rented out. That is, you are not renting an entire apartment, but only a room. There is only one bathroom in the apartment, so it has to be shared with the tenants of the second room. On my trips, the second room was occupied 50 to 50, so here I’m so lucky.

Zhanpaolo's apartment offers a stunning overview

At the same time, in the third room, Janpaolo himself can work in the afternoon. He is either an architect or a designer. Pleasant and intelligent. He sits at his computer all day and does not bother. But for many guests, probably this is also not very convenient.

By the way, there is no full-fledged cuisine here. But, despite such inconvenience, the view is worth the money. And even having a choice, on the way to Rome I periodically look at whether this housing is free. Sometimes I rent, and sometimes in the season, Jeanpaolo sets such a price that it is easier to add $ 20 and settle in to Alessandro. A link to this accommodation can be found here.

But they don’t argue about tastes. I hope this review was useful to you. If yes, be sure Like it below and save it to your social networks.so as not to lose.

I remind you that if you have not dealt with Airbnb, then when registering at this link, get a discount voucher for your first trip. But for those who, nevertheless, prefer hotels, the best selection throughout Italy can be found here.
